The arctic winds had been blowing harder for some time now, and it seemed clear enough to the Space Wolves who've fought in such conditions before that a cryo-storm was moving in quickly. The Space Wolves had mustered all under their command on Skora in an attempt to purge the xenos from Skora once and for all. Likewise, the Dark Eldar had similar intentions and set out to slay the Astartes protectors of the planet so that they may continue their violent onslaught. Failure for either side at such a pinnacle battle would surely mean the planet would be lost to them.
The snow was now pounding hard. By the time the opposing forces identified each other, they were almost on top of each other. The chaos of the arctic blast was made more-so with the eruption of battle. Splinter barbs tore through the white mist, denting the armor of the Space Wolves, and some unlucky Astartes went down as the razor-sharp, poisoned-tip barbs found soft purchase on an exposed appendage. Warriors mounted on great Fenrisian wolves darted off into the thick wall of white in different directions as the infantry returned a barrage of fire from their bolters. The Battle of Skora had started, the final purge, one way or another.
Objective Markers: Before deployment the players must place 6 Objective Markers that are numbered 1 through 6. Deployment: Use the chart at the bottom of the page for deployment purposes. Roll to determine the order deployment per the Basic Rule Book.
First Turn: Roll to determine first turn per the Basic Rule Book, the losing player may chose to try to Seize the Initiative
Secondary Objectives: Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker
Special Rules: Night Fighting, Reserves
Disorienting Terrain: The almost zero visibility caused by the blinding snow and wind multiplies the chaos of battle ten-fold. All units placed in Reserve gain the Outflank special rule. Units entering combat this way will roll on the following table to determine which table edge the arrive from:
D6 - Result: 1 - The unit comes in from its own table edge. 2-3 - The unit comes in from the table edge to the left of its own table edge. 4-5 - The unit comes in from the table edge to the right of its own table edge. 6 - The unit comes in from its opponent's table edge.
Stormfront Approaching: At the end of each game turn after the first you roll a d6. Add the game turn number to the result. If you get a 7 or higher, the Stormfront has hit the battlefield. Once this happens all models gain the Stealth special rule, or the Shrouded special rule if they are the target of a shooting attack made by a model that is more than 24" away. Units cannot be targeted by shooting attacks if they are more than 36" away from the unit making the attack. Finally, all non vehicle units must treat any open ground as Dangerous Terrain.
